AFEDAPE (African Female Drummers and Percussionists) is a Kenya-based organziation co-founded by Mercy Kimanzi and Faith Kimanzi. It is committed to empowering women in key roles within the music industry, with a distinct focus on highlighting and celebrating the cultural and artistic contributions of female instrumentalists across Africa. Our mission is to nurture emerging talent and create sustainable pathways for professional growth through mentorship, high-quality studio recording, and dynamic live performance opportunities. Beyond artistic development, we are dedicated to preserving and teaching Kenya’s rich musical traditions, while building a vibrant, inclusive community of musicians and music lovers across the continent.
